Summary

Swipely is built to need as little of your data as possible. The free editor has no accounts, and your carousels are stored only in your own browser. Nothing you design is uploaded to our servers.

What we do not collect

We do not require an account, and we do not build personal profiles. We do not sell data.

Where your work is stored

Your carousel document (text, layout, and any images you add) is saved in your browser's IndexedDB storage, on your device. You can clear it at any time from your browser. It is never sent to us.

Images

Images you upload are compressed and stored inside your document, in your browser only.

If you add an image by external URL, that image is fetched through our proxy at export time so it can be included in your PDF or PNGs. The proxy streams the image and does not store it.

Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-friendly, self-hosted analytics tool. It is cookieless, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across sites, so no consent banner is required. We only see aggregate usage (for example, how many carousels are exported).

Error monitoring

To find and fix bugs, technical errors may be reported to our self-hosted error monitor. These reports are scrubbed of your content: we do not send your document, slide text, or images.

Pro waitlist

If you join the Pro waitlist, we store the email address you provide and use it only to tell you about Pro. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
